Summary You can use single-line text to create one or more lines of text, where each text line is an independent object that you can move, format, or otherwise modify. Right-click in the text box to select options on the shortcut menu. ![]() If TEXT was the last command entered, pressing Enter at the Specify Start Point of Text prompt skips the prompts for paper height and rotation angle. The text that you enter in the text box is placed directly beneath the previous line of text. The point that you specified at the prompt is also stored as the insertion point of the text. When creating text, you can click anywhere in a drawing to create a new text block. You can also use the keyboard to move among text blocks (for example: for new text created using the TEXT command, you can navigate through text groups by pressing Tab or Shift+Tab, or edit a group of text lines by pressing Alt and clicking each text object.). The height is the distance in drawing units that the uppercase letters extend from the baseline. Designated text height is the distance between the start point and a point you specify. Jun 20, 2009 Align Center Cmd-Shift-| (Command-pipe, which requires the shift key) Align Right Cmd-Shift-} (COmmand-right curly brace, which requires the shift key) I wanted to change them to the same keys but without the Shift key (it's easier for me to type). The longer the text string, the narrower the characters. The height of the characters remains constant. Center Aligns text from the horizontal center of the baseline, which you specify with a point. The rotation angle specifies the orientation of the text baseline with respect to the center point. You can designate the angle by specifying a point. The text baseline runs from the start point toward the specified point. If you specify a point to the left of the center point, the text is drawn upside down. I'm using Word 2011 (updated) and OS 10.8.2. Copy/cut and paste commands work perfectly well until I copy/cut text from a table. As soon as I hit command-c the edit menu changes so that cut and copy are both greyed out and show no keyboard shortcut, and paste becomes 'Paste cells' with the keyboard command c. (There are other changes too, which I can list if requested.) This only happens when working with tables. Quitting and restarting the program restores everything to normal. Does anyone know if this is a known issue? Or know how to stop it? Cheers, Madeline. Free photo editors for mac. There is nothing nothing wrong, nor is it something you can change:-) It isn't so much of having copied from a table so much as it is a matter of exactly what you copied along with where you're trying to paste. If that marker is not selected, you copy just the selected content from the cell. If it is selected when you copy -- which can't be avoided when copying more than one cell at a time -- you're copying the cell, structure & all. If you want to paste content from multiple copied cells into a single cell, you have to use Edit> Paste Special then select either Styled Text or Unformatted Text. If you paste somewhere away from a table the Paste command will be unaffected, but when you paste you'll see that it creates a new table in that location. Again, use the options from Paste Special if you want a different result. Please mark HELPFUL or ANSWERED as appropriate to keep list as clean as possible ☺ Regards, Bob J.
